College Bound to NIU

With so many colleges to choose from in the United States, it was hard to narrow my choice down to a few. I have decided to attend Northern Illinois University for many reasons. It is a prestigious university and the campus is unique.

When I took a visit to NIU, I noticed how the campus was quiet and located in a small town called DeKalb,Ill. DeKalb is two hours north of Chicago, Ill. which is conveniently easy  for me whenever I may have to travel home.

The tuition is suitable and affordable for my family. Going in my major will be in biology/pre-medicine field. I have looked into NIU’s science department and I saw some several pre-med graduates being accepted into top notch pre-medicine schools such as Harvard, John Hopkins and Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Once I compared Northern Ill. to my other choices, I chose NIU hands down. I look forward to my student career, I see myself accomplishing my dreams and becoming all that I can be at NIU.
