On Friday, Oct. 15th, nine students from Leo High School visited Benedictine University in Lisle, IL.
Jerry Jones, Andre Patton, Denzel Tucker, Edward Vaughn, Christopher Tarleton, Derrius Hendrix, Andre Cail, Justin Douglas and Bruce Gray were all accompanied by Ms. Silva.
The campus tour was very brief, yet, full of details that described the institution. It appeared to be a peaceful environment whose main intention is to educate their students.
The tour started roughly twenty minutes upon arrival. The students were taken to a private room where they were given folders pertaining more information about BU. The instructor’s persuasive speech quickly grasped the attention of the Leo students. The woman was very helpful in answering any questions about the University.
The second part of the tour consisted of two Benedictine University undergraduate students giving a tour of the student dorms and facilities. The male tour guide spoke very softly and the female tour guide never spoke.
The campus visit wasn’t the best aspect of the entire tour.
“The campus visit wasn’t interesting enough to persuade me to consider Benedictine University as a place where I would like to attend college,” said Vaughn.
